Haven't posted anything for a week. Just wanted to let my munchkin know that I think about him daily. I say him because we don't know at this point what the baby is. The Meredith trend with babies is that any Meredith under the age of 30 has boys. Once they reach the age of 30 they then have a girl. Notice I said a, single, girl. Now, Mike could change that trend, but the odds are against us having a girl at this point, since his grandfather, uncle and cousins have all been 30 or above before having a girl. No matter what you are munchkin, we love you dearly and can't wait to meet you for the first time. Nanny

Today would have been my Dad's 71st birthday. It is hard to believe that he has been gone almost a year. Still seems like a bad dream most of the time.

He was always giving the boys a hard time about making him a great-grandpa. He wanted to hold a little one in his arms again. I kept telling him to give them time. Didn't want the kids to rush into having little ones. Now his second great-grand baby is on the way. Boy would he be thrilled. He loved his grand kids like no other. Great-grand babies would have been an extended joy!!!

Munchkin, know that Pa would have loved you to pieces. I know I do and so does your Pop!

OK - so today, Mike and Ali heard the babies heart beat for the first time. 170 beats per minute. WOW - how exciting. This baby is already loved so much by its Nanny and Pop.
We are getting ready to start a new year as well as a new chapter in our lives. Thought it might be a good time to try this blogging that I have started following thanks to a couple of neices. It will be a great way to show my grandkids what their Nanny and Pops do on a regular basis. Thanks Georgia and Megan for showing this "old" girl new tricks.

We will become proud grandparents in July of this year. Have no ideal what the baby is at this point. We only pray that Ali has a healthy and safe pregnancy. Can't wait to meet this new member of our family. Today, Mike and Ali will get to hear the heart beat for the first time. What an exciting time in their lives, as well as ours.
