Good morning Seth ~ it has been way to long since I have posted anything to you.
As it so happens, I have tried to post on several occasions and due to computer glitches among other things, when I get almost done, I lose everything. This just happend to me a few minutes ago. Posted a long one, added some pictures for you and poof ~ gone. I am going to post again now while I am sitting up with your great grandma Wilma, and get it saved one way or another. So.....
A lot of things have happened since my last post to you. You have grown like crazy and are rolling over and trying to crawl. You know, it really stinks being a long distance grandparent. The only way I get to see your first(s), is if Mommy or Daddy get it on their camera and send it to me. They are really good about that and I am so thankful for their thoughtfulness. It is better than not seeing it at all, but not as good as being there would be.
You weigh in at almost 18 lbs and for a 5 1/2 months that is good. You called me on Daddys phone a week or so ago and thrilled me to pieces. Of course you didn't know you were doing it, but that didn't matter to me.
You have had your first Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas now and I got to see you on all three occasions. Your mommy and daddy bring you down at least every other weekend so that we can see you. There have been very few times since you hit 6 weeks old that we have gone longer than 2 weeks without seeing you and we have no intention of it being any longer than that if there is any way possible.
Here are a few pictures of your "firsts" for memory sake ~
Here are some more just for memory sake ~
and more.....
and one more very special one.....
You are now eating baby food and love the stuff, you can hold your bottle for the most part, but still get a little tired of it, and roll all over the floor. AND last but definately not least, you are one happy little boy.
Just know that your grandparents love you so much, and are so proud of you they could burst.
We love you Seth and look forward to seeing you this weekend.

Good morning sweetheart. It has been a week since I have seen you, but I talk to your daddy everyday. I never fail to ask how my little darling is doing. You had your two week check up a week ago and have gained 4 ounces above your birth weight. The doctors really only expect you to gain back to your birth weight, so you have done great! You also shrank and inch. LOL We know that that is because your little head was so coned! It just went back to normal. Tomorrow, your Pops and I are bringing your Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Corita to see you for the first time. They have not been able to come up there as of yet and so want to see you in person. Your mommy and daddy are coming to Hot Springs next week end so I should get a chance to see you then too. Can't wait to get my hands on you tomorrow and kiss those little fat cheeks.
I love you so much already and you are only 3 weeks old. I love my boys, and now my girls (since I didn't have girls until the boys married), but you are a different story all together. I have always heard that grandbabies are just that grand. I can honestly say that you are more than GRAND to your Nanny. Let there never be a doubt or insecure feeling in your little heart that you are one loved little boy!
Before you and I both know it, you will be old enough to come see your Nanny, and maybe spend a week with me. We will see when the time comes. I sure hope so.
Always know that we love you. Nanny

Good afternoon Munchkin. Yesterday your Daddy called and said that your Mommy might have you yesterday or today. So far you are being hard headed and have NOT made an appearance. Your Daddy and the rest of us was kind of hoping you would come yesterday on your great grandpas birthday, but the Lord has other plans for you. That's OK. We don't want you to come until you are suppose to. If you don't come before Wednesday, July 14th, we will get to see you then. I have packed Pops and my things in readiness for your arrival. We are ready to jump and run when your Daddy calls us. I am not sleeping very good, don't want to not hear the phone if it rings in the middle of the night. We are so excited about meeting you.... You are one loved little boy that has yet to be seen. We love you, Nanny and Pops

Good morning Munchkin! Well, once again it has been a while since I have posted to you. Your Nanny has a garden that has been putting off fresh veggies like crazy. I have been so busy I don't know which way to turn. I did however manage to take a Monday off a couple weeks ago (June 7th) and go to Subi to meet Mommy and then on to Clarksville where your Daddy met us and guess what..... I got to see you! I went with them to the last ultra sound they will do on your Mommy. How exciting is that? Then we went to lunch. I had a great time visiting with them and seeing you.
After that, on June 12th, we had a baby shower for you. That is when Mommy and Daddy told us your name..... SETH GREYSON ..... Now I can call you something besides Munchkin. You know, Munchkin has kinda of taken hold and I may still call you that instead.
Today is July 1st, you are due in 20 days. Mommy went to the hospital on June 21st thinking that you may be coming then but the doctors were able to keep that from happening. We are soooooo ready to meet you, but, we don't want you coming to early so I am glad that they were able to do that. Now if Mommy tries to have you, they will let her. Just wait though until you are ready. I have waited this long, I can wait a little while longer.
Love you bunches.........Nanny

Well Munchkin, we had a shower for you yesterday. Mommy and Daddy got lots of new and nice things for you when you finally arrive. Got to show your picture off to lots of family members and they are like Pops and me. Can't really tell who you look like at this point. We'll just have to wait and see when you get here. Mommy and Daddy told us to that they have decided on a name for you. You are now Seth Greyson Meredith. You will probably be called Munchkin for quite a while still yet, but you have a real name now. We are so privileged to have you as a grandson. Even though Pops probably won't admit it, he is just as excited to have you as an addition to our family as I am. I think it is a man thing, and some day when your all grown up, you will understand the man thing issue, to bad we women don't...LOL. Good night baby and sleep very well. Mommy needs her rest. Love you bunches. Nanny JuJu

Good morning munchkin. Guess what! Mimi and I got to go to an ultra sound with your mommy and daddy this past Monday, June 7th, and see you a little better. Mommy put your picture on facebook and I saved them to my computer so Pops could see you. I will add them to this post as a marker in your life and mine. You were very shy that day and didn't want to show your face very well, but, we did get to see you a little. There is no doubt that you are a boy and you have chubby cheeks like your daddy did when he was born, and a head full of hair. No wonder mommy has heartburn so bad! You wouldn't be very still either. Wiggling around like crazy... Man, that was a great experience and I am so thankful that I got to experience it with mommy and daddy. I can barely wait to get to see you, although, I am not ready for you to come out until it is time. We are so blessed to get to have you as a grandson. Your Nanny and Pops love you bunches!

Good morning munchkin. It has been a little while since your nanny posted anything to you, but this past weekend, your Pops and I got to spend some time with your mommy and daddy. I am going to try to post a picture of your progress in mommies tummy on this post. You have grown quite a bit since the last time I saw you. Your Pops and I can't wait to see you in person, hold you and kiss those little cheeks of yours. You are already loved so much it is unreal. Some day, when you get older and your children make you a grandparent you will understand. Just know that you are loved by all!!!

OK, Munchkin last night (Monday, March 1, 2010), your Pops and I went to Russellville to have dinner with Mommy and Daddy. Your Mimi and Papa came as well. You were the focus of our dinner. We went to Western Sizzlin and after we ate dinner, they let us watch a DVD of you. You are the most beautiful baby I have seen in years. Really, we couldn't tell that much about you. The important thing is that you are all there and healthy. Mommy said you weigh about 9 ounces. Next important is that we discovered you are a little boy. So now we can start getting ready for you to arrive. Not due until July 21, 2010, and I can promise you it will seem like forever! We love you to pieces Munchkin. Nanny and Pops

Today is Sunday, February 28th and tomorrow Munchkin will become a boy or girl to its mommy and daddy plus all of us grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Mike and Ali will not let me know when they find out because they want to do something special in telling us what they are having. That's OK if it is what they want, although it would be ok with me for them to just call and tell me. Seems like I have waited forever and I know they feel it more that I do. They will also find out if there is more than one. Multiple births run in both families and there seems to be reason to believe there is more than one. Makes me no difference one way or the other - one baby or two, it/they are already loved more than I could have ever imagined. Love you bunches Munchkin(s). Nanny and Pop

Guess what Munchkin, Mommy felt you move last night for the first time. It was exciting for me and Pop because we were there. No we didn't get to see or feel it and neither did Daddy but you moved all the same. That means it won't be long before we can see you move and maybe feel you move in Mommy's tummy. Can't wait. Love you - Nanny

- Good morning Munchkin (your Daddy named you that), I am sitting in my recliner watching "McLintock" a John Wayne movie. I will have to introduce you to his movies when you are old enough. But, I am waiting on your Mommy and Daddy (with you) to get here. It is going to be a great weekend. I don't have to work tonight so we are all going out to eat, your Uncle Brad and Aunt Becca are going along with your great-grandma (Nan). Will be a good night. Love you! Nanny

Hey munchkin - last friday (January 29, 2010) I got to hear your heartbeat for the first time. That was without a doubt one of the most exciting things that has ever happened to me. We couldn't listen to heart beats as well when I was carrying your Uncle Brad or your Daddy. So this was in a way, the first time to hear something like that. Brought tears of joy to my eyes. just know that you are already loved dearly by your Nanny and Pop. Next month - March 1st - we are suppose to find out what you are. Doesn't matter to us if you are a girl or a boy, but I want to know so I can prepare for you when you come visit us. Love you lots!!!

Haven't posted anything for a week. Just wanted to let my munchkin know that I think about him daily. I say him because we don't know at this point what the baby is. The Meredith trend with babies is that any Meredith under the age of 30 has boys. Once they reach the age of 30 they then have a girl. Notice I said a, single, girl. Now, Mike could change that trend, but the odds are against us having a girl at this point, since his grandfather, uncle and cousins have all been 30 or above before having a girl. No matter what you are munchkin, we love you dearly and can't wait to meet you for the first time. Nanny

Today would have been my Dad's 71st birthday. It is hard to believe that he has been gone almost a year. Still seems like a bad dream most of the time.
He was always giving the boys a hard time about making him a great-grandpa. He wanted to hold a little one in his arms again. I kept telling him to give them time. Didn't want the kids to rush into having little ones. Now his second great-grand baby is on the way. Boy would he be thrilled. He loved his grand kids like no other. Great-grand babies would have been an extended joy!!!
Munchkin, know that Pa would have loved you to pieces. I know I do and so does your Pop!

We are getting ready to start a new year as well as a new chapter in our lives. Thought it might be a good time to try this blogging that I have started following thanks to a couple of neices. It will be a great way to show my grandkids what their Nanny and Pops do on a regular basis. Thanks Georgia and Megan for showing this "old" girl new tricks.
We will become proud grandparents in July of this year. Have no ideal what the baby is at this point. We only pray that Ali has a healthy and safe pregnancy. Can't wait to meet this new member of our family. Today, Mike and Ali will get to hear the heart beat for the first time. What an exciting time in their lives, as well as ours.
